| | The trailer for Serenity is up! It is so awesome. I have no idea how I'm going to wait until September 3rd. Go, watch! | comments: 5 comments or Leave a comment |
| Guess who got season one DVD's of Angel half off today? And guess who is going to waste her night watching said DVD's tonight? Oh yeah, that's right.
And here's a meme...
a) Post a list of 10 TV shows you watch (current or cancelled)(And I'm doing eight. Because I can. And also, I couldn't think of anything.) b) Have your friends list guess your favourite character and 'ship from each show. c) When it's been guessed, explain why you like that character,

| Last night was...odd, to say the least. I was at some church-related function, and I started to feel really sick. I got kind of dizzy, and seriously felt like I was going to faint. Of course, I've actually never fainted before, but I figured that if I did, this is what it's gonna feel like. And so what happens? THe guy behind me faints. Right on top of me. I was really freaked out that it had happened, and right when I was thinking about it too. The guy ended up being okay, they don't know why he fainted yet though.
But yeah, freaky night. And Happy Easter (tomorrow...) to my f-list! | comments: Leave a comment |
| I bought this really awesome new shampoo, and I swear it is the best thing ever. What's that you say, me, exaggerate? Yeah, probably. Of course, it was also ridiculously expensive. So methinks I'll be needing to find a new hair product that doesn't leave me completely broke. And so ends the completely shallow part of this post.
My mom has recently started watching Gilmore Girls. Which at first I thought, hey, how bad could that be? Turns out, pretty bad. She keeps asking me why we don't have a relationship like that. Nevermind the fact it is a fictional t.v. show, or that she doesn't even really know what's going on, but she wants us to be exactly like Rory and Lorelai. Le sigh.
But I'm going to see "Be Cool" tonight! Yay! | comments: 11 comments or Leave a comment |

| Okay, well, it's been over a month so I last updated, so guess I might as well eh? So, since I'm a freak and like to organize everything, here we go.
1. Gilmore Girls this week was good. Didn't like it as much as the last couple of weeks though. And since I won't be too spoilery here I'll just say that the Fiddler on the Roof? And that song? And the glances with the perfect synchronicity to the song? Yeah, I just kept screaming at the t.v. "I was totally in that play!"
2. Computers and me? Do not click. I keep trying and trying, but they'd rather get viruses and stupid pop-ups, and then shut down. Le sigh.
3. My cousin had a little baby! She is so adorable. Even though babies usually freak me out - though they are cute from afar, I'm always afraid I'm going to drop them - but she is so tiny! And so very cute.
4. Also, but The Killer's c.d., and have not stopped listening to it. I like it. :P
Kay, I'm done. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| Life has been good...I was watching Point Pleasant (really didn't like it, but then, I went in expecting not to anyways) And for some reason it made me realize how much I miss Buffy. Not cause Marti Noxon writes it, more just, it managed to have a teen drama, and be so much more, you know? It was so funny and completely awesome, and most of the crap on t.v. right now can't hold a candle to it. Le sigh.
But anyways, Figured I might as well post the answers to the movie quiz.

| Ha, I've decided to do what all the cool kids are doing ;) So here is my movie meme. I hope we weren't supposed to pick deep, meaningful movies...cause I sure didn't. They are just things that pop into my head, so I guess this accurately portrays how random I am.
If you know one of them, tell me and I will take it off the list! Comments are screened so that more people can try.

| So, I guess it is officially the New Year, and that year went by way too fast. Or maybe that's good. I haven't really decided yet. Speaking of which, I haven't updated about Christmas either! It was great, except for listening to my uncle mention at least 100 times over the course of two days just how rich he was.
I got the seventh season of Buffy, which I contemplating not getting, then remembered that it was free. But what the hell is going on with the cover art on that box?? Some of Buffy's heads are so badly manipulated, it hurts to look at. I also got Kill Bill (yay!!) and some awesome clothes. So I won't be complaining here.
Oh yeah, except for that I have had the flu all week. I was throwing up for a long time, and it was so not pretty. At least it's out of my system now, but great way to start the New Year, huh? | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| Merry Christmas everyone. Or soon to be. Anyways, I finally finished all my Christmas shopping, so, phew. Apparently, everything I want to buy just happens to be sold out everywhere. But now I'm feeling a bit sick. Bleh. Gotta feel better by Christmas (which, holy crap, is two days away! Presents, yay!)
Oh, and upon watching CSI NY last night, as the camera showed a bloody beaten girl, my grandmother asked if this was Sex and the City. For the next twenty, minutes, I could be found on the ground laughing.
Have a good holiday guys. | comments: 5 comments or Leave a comment |
| | So yesterday would have been the anniversary of my dad's death. Bah. I hate this time of year. Not much else to update about. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| I love Gwen Stefani, I really do. But seriously? Singing a song with a chorus from a play turned movie about a Jewish family in the early 1900's? Not the coolest thing you've ever done. It made me go WTF? for a long time, because it just seemed so out of place and weird.
(Also, her obsession with mentioning Harajuku every 5 minutes is starting to bug me.) But still, feeling the love, just not for that song.
In other news, I had a really good time the other night, and I think for a moment, I actually enjoyed winter. Which is weird, considering that I live up in igloo land, and hate every second of snow. But for a second, I think actually like winter, and got into the Christmas spirit early. For a second at least. | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |
| | Okay, this could have possibly been posted before, since I am lame and very much behind the times. But anyways, still a good read, and very, very funny
On her radio show recently, Dr Laura Schlesinger said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22, and cannot be condoned under any circumstance. The following response is an open letter to Dr. Laura, which was posted on the Internet:
Dear Dr. Laura:
Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. ... End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's Law and how to follow them.
When I burn a bull on the altar > as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev.1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them? I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her? I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev.15: 19-24.) The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians? I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus (35:2) - The passage clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 11:10) it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination? Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. > Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here? Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around > their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.19:27. How should they die? I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev.24:10-16.) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14) I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I am confident you can help.
Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| Is anybody else getting pissed off at the Christmas decorations/songs/ads that seem to be popping up everywhere right about now? I mean, come on, it's technically still November! At least give me another week before you bombard me with your holiday cheer.
And to all the Americans on my Flist, hope your Thanksgiving was good. | comments: 8 comments or Leave a comment |
| | So, guess who's entire computer crashed? My whole thing got messed up, and all of the ficathon entries I was already way late for, were lost into computer oblivion forever. I really, really, really hate computers. And they hate me. It's a constant circle.
Not much else to report. Life is hectic, not much time to update anymore. I have been keeping up with my friends page, missed a bit of drama and got pretty damn confused.(And the board at HMC has been missing forever, which is really weird). I feel bad for Americans...feel free to flee to Canada, basically eveybody is anti-Bush here. I really don't get how he won..
And because I have nothing else to say, I leave with a quote from Gilmore Girls:
(At a town meeting, the entire town is yelling out things that Jess has done)
Lorelai: I heard he controls the weather and wrote the screenplay to Glitter! | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |
| All right, this is late, and since I lost the email that said all the information, I just know that what was requested was a Wedgie demon terrozing the scoobies post-chosen, that included Xander, Faith, Dawn and Willow. Xander was supposed to be disturbed by what Willow and Dawn were wearing, and Faith would not be wearing any underwear. So, here it is:
(Oh, and I haven't updated in over a month now. I think that's a new record.)

| People seem to be idiots today, and they are pissing me off. Grr.
But at least I had my Birthday Day of Fun. I got Angel Season 3 (yay!) as well as some cute clothes, and of course, money. Can't go wrong with that. Thanks for all the well wishes guys
Oh, and I will forever hate Paris Hilton for making every pre-pubescent girl at the mall/movies/grocery store walk around going "that's hot." Seriously, if one more kid says that, I am going to go insane. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| We have a fire going. In August. It is still summer, and we are huddled in front of a fire. Something is not right with this picture. Stupid Canadian weather.

| Just saw the first couple minutes of Fox's Man vs. Beast.
Good lord people, have we really lowered ourselves to competing against monkeys? And dogs? *sigh*
In other news....did some shopping, made me feel better. Nothing says happiness like new clothes.
And question of the day: Why in the world does a single senior need not only her own huge house equipped with loft and elevator, but 3 other houses on the same street? | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
